Alwardas Degree College
The society named Sri Venkateswara Vidya Peeth was established by
Sri S. Alwardas garu, Former Minister of Education, Andhra Pradesh,
to expand educational opportunities in the fast-growing city of
Visakhapatnam.
In 1980, VMC Mahila Vidya Peeth was started as a Degree College for
women and later converted into a co-educational institution named
SVVP VMC Degree College from the academic year 2010-2011 as a
private aided degree college. From 09-09-2021, the college has been
functioning as a Private Un-Aided Degree College.
From the academic year 2023-2024, all UG programmes were converted
into Single Major UG Programmes (Honours).
Currently, more than 500 students are pursuing
their education at the institution.
